Helen Marie Heiser

 Helen Marie Heiser, 98 passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Eaglecrest South, La Crosse. She was born on June 27, 1926, the daughter of Peter J Hansen & Anna M (Klinkner)Hansen in Pine Hollow (Rural Cashton, WI). She married LeMonte Heiser on May 14, 1949. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1997. Helen was a graduate of Cashton High School and attended Western Wisconsin Technical College for 1 year. She worked as a secretary at Trane Company and then as a teacher's assistant at Hintgen Elementary & Harry Spence Elementary. She loved her work with the kids and made many friends from her time there. Helen was a member of Mary Mother of the Church and a volunteer. She was a very giving person.

 Helen enjoyed her flowers, knitting, reading, golf, football, basketball, shopping trips with her niece, baking & spending time with her family & friends. Helen golfed until the age of 91, was a great golfer and had 1 hole in one. She was known for her cashew crunch and the dish rags she knitted. 

 Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brothers, Arthur, William & Carlton & her sister Marcella Schmitz. Also, sisters in law Margaret Hansen, Phyllis Hansen & Bertella Henke & brother-in-law Sylvester Schmitz. She is survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Hansen, her best friend for over 75 years-Charlotte Forer, in addition to many nieces & nephews.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Mary Mother of the Church, 2006 Weston Street, La Crosse WI. Rev. Brian D. Konopa will officiate. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 am-10:30 am at the church. 

 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Mary Mother of the Church, Stepping Out in Pink c/o Gundersen Health System, 1900 South Avenue, La Crosse WI 54601 or a charity of the donor's choice.
