Hazel M. Lecher

Hazel M. Lecher, 92 of La Crescent, MN passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at the Traditions Assisted Living Facility in La Crescent. She was born May 30, 1929, in Galesville, Wisconsin to Conrad and Lucille (Flood) Amundson and graduated from Galesville High School.

Hazel had worked at the La Crosse Garment Factory and then for La Crosse Rubber Mills until her retirement. She loved baking for her family, especially at Christmas. Hazel also enjoyed working crosswords and sewing. Her greatest loves were her dogs and her family.

Hazel is survived by her three children; Monette Schleifer of Onalaska, Mark Lecher of Clarksville, TN and Melany (Roger) Gallas of Winona, MN; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and a brother, Butch Amundson of Trempealeau, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Monte on February 3, 2019; her parents; a son, Mike Lecher and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 19 ^th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Avenue South, La Crosse with Chaplain Jim Opgenorth officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
