Gregory A. "Greg" Loe

Gregory "Greg" Loe of La Crosse, passed away on Saturday, April 15th, 2023. He was born on September 15th, 1951 to Elaine and Emil Loe. At the young age of 19, he married Karen Zillmer, with who he shared 53 years of marriage. Together, they had 3 children, Jodi, Angela, and Benjamin. Around 1981, they moved to La Crosse, where Greg worked different jobs and retired from Torrance Casting.

Greg was known for his love of gardening, where he spent many long summer days and nights at different gardens he planted. He collected shot glasses from all around the country and proudly kept them on display. Greg loved to cook, especially for his family. He enjoyed going fishing in the summer, watching the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers, a little NASCAR, and doing newspaper crossword puzzles.

Greg is survived by his wife, Karen, and daughters, Angela Loe of La Crosse and Jodi Loe of Roscoe, IL. Brother, David Loe. Sisters- in Law, Vivian Holm and Marilyn (Michael) Smith. Grandchildren, Mikayla (Josh) Gasper, Kyle, Adam, and Heather Juern. Great-Granddaughter, Kinsley Gasper, along with many other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law Beatrice Zillmer, and his father-in-law, Earl Zillmer. His son, Benjamin, grandson, Ryan Clark, and brother-in-law, Elliot Holm.

Greg will forever be remembered by his family for his loving and witty personality, giving us memories that will carry us through this time of grief.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crosse.
