Gregory Fuller Johnson, 69, of La Crosse, WI, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020 at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse. He was born in La Crosse on September 5, 1950 to Paul and Marjorie (Fuller) Johnson. Greg was a graduate of Logan High School and served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam from 1970-1971. He drove for the La Crosse MTU for 27 years and served as the Union President for 15 years.
Greg was an active Packer, Brewers, golf and hockey fan, serving as the vice president of the River City Youth Hockey Association from 1992 until 1995. He was always the life of the party until Agent Orange took over his life making it hard to do the things he loved.
He is now free from pain and with those who have left before us.
He is survived by his wife Julie, daughters Elizabeth (Zef) Johnson, Kelly (Richard) Mizerak, son Erik (Elizabeth Olson) Johnson, grandchildren Zef, Hazel, Oivia and Stanley, Niece Sarah Anderson and nephew Scott Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Cindy, his grandparents, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on his 70 th birthday, Saturday, September 5, 2020 at his home from 1 until 4 P.M. Donations may be directed to the Disabled American Veterans or the VFW. Online
