Gordon L. Cook

Gordon L. Cook, 81, of Galesville, WI passed away peacefully at his home on August 16, 2024.

Gordon was born to Neville & Thelma (Weaver) Cook on July 14, 1943. Gordon grew up in the Council Bay area in Holmen, WI. There he attended rural school and later graduated from Holmen High School in 1961.

Gordon spent most of his career as an over the road truck driver for many different companies. He enjoyed taking his collector car to many car shows in the area, watching the Green Bay Packers, taking trips to Arizona during the winter, visiting the casino and spending time with his family and friends.

Gordon is survived by his children: Keith (Jill) Cook, Brenda (Kirk) Cook, Deanna Cook, Kim (Ryan) Cook; special friend Theresa Bender; brothers V.Ray Cook and Roger (Mary) Cook; sister-in-law Helen Cook; grandchildren Austin (Madeline) Cook, Sydney (Ryker) Todd, McKenzi Cook, Ethan (Rachel) Stanton and Samantha Stanton; great-granddaughter Violet Jo Todd and many nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Neville and Thelma Cook, wife Kathy Cook, son Jeff Cook and brothers Robert Cook and Kenny Cook and sister Arlene (Cook) Wiese.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Holmen Lutheran Church, 228 Morris St., Holmen, WI 54636. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church. Gordon will be laid to rest in Green Mound Cemetery in Holmen, WI immediately following the service. A light lunch will follow the burial at the church.
