Gerald R. "Jerry" Haldorson

June 28, 1924 — June 7, 2020

Gerald R. "Jerry" Haldorson, 95 of Onalaska, WI, died on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Gundersen Health System of La Crosse. He was born in La Crosse to Paul and Nellie (Hauser) Haldorson. Jerry had proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II as a member of the 32 nd Div. Red Arrow Brigade in the South Pacific. He had worked as a used car mechanic at Low motors for 35 years until his retirement.

Jerry is survived by his daughters Kathy Schmidt of Onalaska, Sandra (Ronald) Hanson of Hinsdale, IL., his son Dennis (Kathleen) Schmieder of Onalaska, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is further survived by his sister Shirley Rediski of Onalaska along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Joedonna, his second wife Mattie, his third wife Mary Ann; two brothers Jack and Frank and two sisters Margie and June.

A graveside gathering will be held from 10:30 am until 11 am on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the Onalaska City Cemetery and will conclude with military honors provided by the Onalaska American Legion Post 336 and the United States Army Military Honors program. Those in attendance are asked by the family to practice Safe social distancing.
