George E. Kochagian Jr.

George E. Kochagian, Jr., 60, of Genoa, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer.

George was born in Racine, Wis., June 19, 1957, to Jean C. (Miller) and George E. Kochagian, Sr. He moved to La Crosse at age 18 and stayed because he loved the area called “God’s Country” so much. He worked at Machine Products for 20 years and then with C & C Machine for 22 years.

George married Renee Miller on April 29, 1989, and then moved to Genoa. He loved his three children, Sara, Melissa and Nick very much. He cherished his three grandchildren, Skyler, Dayton and Camille, and every year they always went on vacation with “Bumpa” and “Nana”.

George enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with his family and friends at “Miller Park”. He is so grateful for all the loving and caring friends he had. He loved watching his Green Bay Packers with family and playing Fantasy Football.

George is survived by his wife, Renee; daughters, Sara J. (Lance) Berger of Bangor, Wis., and Melissa A. (Lavell) Kochagian of La Crosse; son, Nicholas T. (Amber) Kochagian of Genoa; his three grandchildren, Skyler, Dayton and Camille of La Crosse; brother, Tom Hanson of Wisconsin Rapids; brothers-in-law, Ron “Bali” (Deb) Miller, Rick “Rico” (Miko) Miller, and Todd “Bubba” Miller, all of La Crosse; aunts, Marty Bogie of Rockford, Ill. and Irene Sill of Kenosha, Wis.; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and maternal grandparents, Jens C. and Ane K. Miller.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 23 ^rd , at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. So., La Crosse. No service will be held. Online condolences may be submitted at www.schumacher-kish.com.
