Evelyn A. Magin

Evelyn “Evie” A. Magin, 98, of La Crosse, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018, at the Bethany-Riverside Nursing Facility.

Evie was born on November 8, 1919, in La Crosse, to Harry and Marie (Boldt) Hodson. She married Robert C. Magin on September 23, 1946. After 55 years together, Robert preceded her in death on January 15, 2002.

Evie is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Fred) Hammes of Sparta, Wis.; two sons, Michael Magin of La Crosse and Richard Magin of Ellsworth, Wis.; one grandson, Stephen Hammes of Sartell, Minn.; two granddaughters, Brianna Magin of Northfield, Minn. and Gabrielle Magin of Prescott, Wis.; four great grandchildren, Melanie Hammes of Sartell, Minn., and Ayden, Adam and Aubrey Carlson of Northfield, Minn.; and nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Evie was also preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and four brothers.

Evie touched the lives of many throughout her life and will truly be missed. We love you, Mom. Rest in peace.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 29 ^th , at the Faith and Life Center at Bethany-Riverside. Rev. Lisa Shank will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Private family burial will take place in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park at a later date.
