Eugene Zemke

Eugene S. Zemke, 82, of La Crosse, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. He was born on April 29, 1935, in Racine, Wis., to Herman and Gerta (Simonson) Zemke. He married Delores Alexander on July 6, 1976, in La Crosse. Eugene worked at InSinkErator in Racine for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, playing pinochle, poker, and playing the lottery. He also enjoyed “junking” in his garage.

In addition to his wife Delores, he is survived by four daughters, Dawn Kester, Cheri Zemke, Susan Allard, and Kimberly Zemke; seven grandchildren, Robert, Jamie, Jennifer, Amanda, Aaron, Kaitlynn and Sarah; seven great-grandchildren, Deavon, Dillian, Joshua, Adam, Jaxon, Bailey and Chelsea; two nephews, Jessy Ives and John Carr; a niece, Holly Story; and sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Tom Hanson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 26 ^th , at Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. So., La Crosse. Martin Yeager will officiate. Burial will be in the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
