Ernest C. Iverson

Ernest Christ Iverson, 89, of La Crescent, MN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Crookston, MN on April 22, 1935 to Christ and Elisa (Ramsrud) Iverson. Ernie worked for Northern States Power Company for 21 years and in 1974 he started his own logging business. In 1987 Ernie married Elsie, the love of his life and they were inseparable. They traveled many times to the western states and his favorite was seeing the redwoods. In their retirement they became snowbirds in Texas where they met many new friends from all over the US.

Ernie is survived by his loving wife Elsie, children Dave Iverson of La Crescent, MN, Cindy Alden of Rochester, MN, Debi (Dan) Koeller of La Crescent, MN, Bruce Iverson (Geri) of La Crescent, MN, Victor Koskovich (Joy) of Menominee, WI, Michelle (Dan) Loeffelholz of Sparta, WI, Vincent Koskovich of Durand, WI, Julie (Travis) Leis of Sparta, WI, 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He is further survived by brothers John (Loretta) Iverson, Sam (Pam) Iverson and sister in-law Betty Iverson. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son Clifford, sisters Ella Pierce, Mildred Koskovich, baby girl Iverson, brothers Alan, Orville and Elmer.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday October 18, 2024 from 4-7 at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, 111 S. Oak St., La Crescent MN.

A Celebration of life will be at a later date.
