Eloise "Ellie" Holtslander

November 19, 1928 — May 8, 2018

Eloise “Ellie” Holtslander, 89, of Onalaska, died very peacefully Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at the Onalaska Care Center.
Ellie was born November 19, 1928, in Grafton, Wis., to Oliver and Myrtle (Tarr) Heinrich. Ellie and Kenneth Holtslander were married May 24, 1952. Ken preceded her in death on January 10, 2011.
Ellie was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed working in her yard. Ellie traveled to different states with Ken’s jobs and always made every house a home.  Ellie and Ken enjoyed tennis and volleyball together and she spent many years on the bleachers watching Ken play softball.
A big joy for Ellie’s world was when her long awaited grandchildren were born. Ellie was so proud of the accomplishments of her children and the life her and Ken had.
Ellie is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Richard) Kaiser of Onalaska, Wis.; a son, John (Tami) Holtslander of La Crosse; four grandchildren, Jordan and Kaleb Kaiser, Kyle (Stephanie) Holtslander, and Kelsey Holtslander; a sister, Lorraine Kumbera of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; and so many special nieces and nephews, and wonderful neighbors and friends.  In addition to her husband, Ken, Ellie was also preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Leroy and Luverne Heinrich.
Our family would like to thank all of the staff and care givers at the Onalaska Care Center for the wonderful and compassionate care. You were also her family.
There are no services planned, but a private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Onalaska City Cemetery.

Love you “Miss Ellie”.
