Ella F. Nephew, 80, of Bangor, died on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the Mayo Health System in La Crosse. She was born on February 25, 1938 in Knoxville, TN. Ella married Donald Nephew and they later divorced. She had worked as an inspector at Metallics in Onalaska for 30 years. Ella enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and rummage sales. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved spending time with her grandkids. She was a member of the Holmen American Legion Post 284 Auxiliary.
She is survived by five children, Donald (Gigi) Nephew of New Burlington, WI, Cory (Emil) Schmitz of Bangor, Louie (Linda) Nephew of Minnesota, George (Wanda) Nephew of Galesville, and Harry (Dawn) Nephew of Bangor, twelve grandchildren, Nicole (Ian) Jackson, Jessica Nephew, Alex Nephew, Ellen Schmitz, Kevin (Alyssa) Schmitz, Phillip Nephew, Sabreena Nephew, Dalton Nephew, Trevor (Courtney) Nephew, Jamie (Joe) Waughtal, Ashlyn (Jesse) Waughtal, and Kyle (Beth) Nephew, and six great-grandchildren, Vera, Olivia, Cooper, Reece, Noah and Max.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of Onalaska, 907 Sand Lake Road. Pastor Ted Dewald will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s/Lewy Body Dementia Associations.Service Schedule
