Edward Henry Szymanski

Edward H. Szymanski, 86 of La Crosse, died on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Gundersen Health System of La Crosse. He was born in Salem, MA., on May 18, 1932 to Boleslaw and Stanislawa (Wasik) Szymanski. He married Alice J. LaMarr in Iowa in June of 1953 and she preceded him in death in 2001.

Ed was a United States Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He and his wife were also active members of the La Crosse Moose Lodge for many years. For 37 years Ed worked as a welder for Trane Company.

He is survived by his daughter Patricia (Richard) Hohlfeld of La Crosse, two sons; Peter and Blair Szymanski both of La Crosse, six grandchildren; Ashley, Eric, Cori, John, Ben and Eddy, nine great grandchildren; Kane, Collin, Kimberly, Kellie, Lauren, Alex, Riley, Luna and Odin. In addition to his wife Alice, he was preceded in death by one grandson, four brothers and three sisters.

A celebration of Ed’s life will be held from 1 until 4 pm at the Moose Lodge, 1932 Ward Avenue La Crosse on Saturday, June 30, 2018.
