Dorothy A. Henderson

Dorothy A. (Kahle) Henderson, of Dakota, passed away January 29, 2025 at the age of 83. She was born July 23, 1941 in Minneapolis to Richard W. and Lillian (Kritzel) Kahle. They lived in Arlington and Cokato, Minnesota before moving to the La Crescent area in 1950. 

Dorothy graduated from Winona Senior High School in 1960. She worked and lived in Winona a number of years until she married Cecil Henderson on December 18, 1971 in Winona. Her beloved husband of 35 years, Cecil, passed away on July 12, 2006. They liked to travel in their motorhome, first spending the winters in Florida taking in the NASCAR races at Daytona, then Arizona for their last 16 years together. Dorothy liked to go gambling, listening to country and western music, NASCAR races, and having “Good Times” with her friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Cecil; brothers Richard H. Kahle and Robert Kahle; sister Elinor Tietz; brothers-in-law Melvin Henderson, Wayne Henderson, Ray Tietz, and Lawrence Papenfuss; sisters-in-law Winnie Papenfuss and Joan Bescup; nephews Mitchell Hale and Joseph Kahle. 

Dorothy is survived by her nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Rosella Henderson, and brother-in-law Norman Henderson. 

Dorothy’s wishes were to be cremated and no funeral will be held.
