Doris M. Rash, 92 of Onalaska, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, May 25, 2020. She was born in La Crosse on March 29, 1928 to Leonard and Lillian (Christensen) Naas.
Doris married Leonard Rash on July 5, 1943 and he died serving his country during the Korean War on May 25, 1953. 67 years, to the day, later he called her home to him. Doris was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She loved to crochet, was an amazing seamstress and loved her Peeps.
Doris is survived by two daughters, Merry Rash of Wilton Manors, Fla. and Debi Rash of Onalaska; a son, Douglas (Gail) Rash of Waynesville, OH; a granddaughter, Annie M. Besl (partner Chad Beeler and his son Carter); a great-grandson, Zaidyn M. Ostrem; along with a brother, Don (Peggy) Naas of Arkansas. In addition to her husband Leonard, she was preceded in death by two sons, Patrick J. Rash and Leonard “Jorn” Rash, Jr.; her life partner, G.J. Lanhart; two brothers and two sisters.
Private burial will be held in the Onalaska City Cemetery. A public celebration will be announced at a later date.
