Donna Mae Kasten

Donna Mae Kasten, 87, of La Crescent, MN passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. She was born on November 29, 1930 in La Crosse, WI to Louis and Hulda (Brumm) Monk. Donna retired from Trane Co. after 34 years of service. She was a member of the Red Hatters in Caledonia and First Evangelical Lutheran Church in La Crescent.

Donna had a love of life. She was very adventurous and ready to go at a moments notice with a positive attitude and a welcoming smile. She never met a stranger and everyone became a friend.

She is survived by three daughters Deborah (Anthony) Bigos of Troy, OH, Pamela Mason of La Crosse, WI and Karla (Daniel) Koch of La Crescent, MN, six grandchildren; Steve, Rachel, Drew, Danielle, Will and Elisabeth; five great grandchildren; Emily, Kate, Philip, Hannah and Noah; one brother Fred (Maureen) Monk of La Crosse, WI. and two nieces and one nephew Lori, Brian and Jennifer. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Steven Curtis Meyer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 6, 2018 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 414 Main St., La Crescent, MN. Pastor Chris Christensen will officiate. Burial will be in the Mormon Coulee Memorial Park, La Crosse. Visitation will be held at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crosse Chapel; 200 West Ave. So., on Thursday from 5 until 7 PM and again at the church on Friday from 10 AM until the time of service.
