Donald L. Von Wald

Donald L. Von Wald, 98 of La Crosse, WI., died on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Benedictine Living Community of La Crosse. He was born in La Crosse to Erwin and Ella (Ninman) Von Wald. Don married Betty J. Hansen and she preceded him in death in 2006. Don had proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged from duty in 1946. He had worked for Schneider Heating and Air Conditioning as a service Technician and for Sears as an appliance repairman until his retirement. He is survived by his sons Gary (Ellyn) Von Wald of La Crosse, Paul (Pam) Von Wald of La Crosse, grandchildren Lisa (Dave) Williams of Hillsboro, WI., Jenny Von Wald of La Crosse, John Von Wald of Wisconsin Rapids, WI., Scott Von Wald (Evey Olson) of La Crosse and four great grandchildren. Private burial with military honors will be in Woodlawn Cemetery La Crosse.
