Donald George Blank

Donald George Blank, 98 of La Crosse passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Bluffview Memory Care in Holmen.

He was born November 9, 1925, in La Crosse to Fred and Helen (Kreutz) Blank.

After graduating from high school, Don joined the Navy and served in WWII. Following his discharge, Don returned to La Crosse and married the love of his life, Carol Genz on June 18, 1949. Together they had three children: Donald S. Blank of Spring Hill, FL, Jeffrey (Judy) Blank of La Crosse and James (Lynne) Blank of West Salem.

Don finished his career with Century Tel of La Crosse after 20 years of service.

Don is survived by his sons, daughter-in-law, Barb Blank, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, June Gildermeister, Elmer (Inez) Blank and Joice Morrison. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol, his parents, and his siblings, Arthur, Fred, Harold, Janice Klaus and Doris Bissen.

A private burial memorial service held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the charity of choice.
