Dianne T. Dahlstrom

June 13, 1949 — December 20, 2022

Dianne Theresa (Kutil) Dahlstrom, 73, of La Crescent, MN died on Tuesday December 20, 2022 peacefully in her home, surrounded by family and friends.

She was born on June 13th, 1949 in South Dakota to Clarence and Alphonsine (Girard) Kutil. She married John Dahlstrom, and they were married for 52 years. Dianne worked her earlier years at Saint Francis Catholic Hospital as an EKG technician. Before her retirement, she worked for 15 years in the Cashier Department at Western Technical College.  Dianne was highly regarded by both her students and coworkers. After her early retirement, she was able to spend a lot of time traveling with "Johnny". They enjoyed traveling to several casino destinations. Dianne cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was known as "GG" for great grandma. So many family and friends knew Dianne by "Lady Di".

She is survived by her daughter Francee (Eugene) Jakobi, grandchildren Renee (Nehemiah) Maphie, Cody Jakobi, and Emma Jakobi; great granddaughters Eden and Gabrielle Maphie; brother Bernard Kutil and close family friend Hope Olson; brothers-in-law Bernard and James Dahlstrom. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Dahlstrom, her son Brian, her parents, a sister Karen, brother Mel and brother Mike, father and mother-in-law Edwin and Virginia (White) Dahlstrom, sister-in-law Florence (Dahlstrom) Mylan and nephews Robin, Jason, and Shade. The Dahlstrom home was always filled with family and friends, and she will be missed by so many.

Dianne's wishes are to be cremated and buried with her son Brian and her husband Johnny.  Her cheeky, fun sense of humor and knack for taking spontaneous road trips will never be forgotten by her family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone at Mayo Hospice for the care that they gave to Dianne and her family. Any gifts or donations can be sent to the CNA Grant program at Western Technical College.
