Diana grew up with three siblings: Cheryl, Lynn, and William “Billy” Jr. Her parents, Bill Sr. and LaVonne, along with her brother Billy, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Lois Lokken, preceded her in death. Diana carried the love and guidance of her family throughout her life, shaping the kindness she shared with everyone she knew.
In 2014, Diana was diagnosed with lung cancer and given just six weeks to live. Defying the odds with sheer determination and support from loved ones, she overcame the disease and went on to live 10 more strong years. Despite facing heart issues in the years following her recovery, Diana continued to live with grace, strength, and love.
On September 10, 2000, Diana married the love of her life, David Lokken, Sr. Together, they shared 24 years of marriage, built on love, laughter, and mutual support.
Diana’s life was a tapestry of creativity and care. She loved to paint, filling her world with color and meaning. Her passion extended into the kitchen, where she delighted in cooking and baking for family and friends, creating meals and treats that nourished both body and soul. Diana also had a deep connection to nature, tending to plants and gardens with a remarkable green thumb. She could make anything grow, and her nurturing touch was evident in both her home and garden.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Diana believed that Jesus Christ died for her sins, and she found peace in the assurance of His love and grace. This unwavering faith carried her through life’s challenges and gave her hope in every season.
She also had a special place in her heart for her two beloved dogs, Sidney and Percey, who were her constant companions and a source of joy.
Diana is survived by her husband, David Lokken, Sr., and her children: Michael Dresen (wife Bridgett), Kyle Dresen (wife Lisa), Andrea Kirschbaum (husband Khristian), and David Lokken, Jr. She was a proud grandmother to Liam, Caden, Zander, Liliana, Cassidy, Klara, and Andreas, and a cherished great-grandmother to Oliver and Charlie.
