David P. Moe

David P. Moe, 88, of Onalaska, WI, died on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Gundersen Health System, La Crosse.  David was born in La Crosse on June 11, 1935, to Almore and Malinda (Trapp) Moe.

David had CP since he was a child, but worked through all adversities. He sold greeting cards door to door to help out at home. David also worked at Doerflinger's Department Store for 11 years as an elevator operator until the store closed.

David was always a kind and gentle person. Conscientious of others in spite of his handicap. He enjoyed watching his close friend Nancy play pool and socializing with other fellow pool players. David enjoyed going on country rides looking at nature's scenery and wildlife. He especially loved going fishing with Nancy's husband David Sackmaster.

David is survived by his life-long best friend Jim Storey and his adopted family, Nancy and David Sackmaster and their families. He was preceded in death by his father Almore, his mother Malinda, brother Kenneth Moe, his nephew Kevin Moe and niece, Kileen (Moe) Price.

Graveside services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Oak Grove Cemetery, La Crosse. Pastor Richard Pamprin will officiate.
