David A. Gregory, Sr.

David A. Gregory, Sr. 71 of La Crosse passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 14, 2017. He was born January 18, 1946 in Hibbing Minnesota to Harry and Betty (Bemis) Gregory and was a 1964 graduate of La Crosse Central High School. Dave served in the United States Army and upon his return began his career with his father at Gregory Office and Equipment Company in downtown La Crosse. Following his father’s retirement, and until the time of his passing, he continued his sales career in the business and computer supply field with Dave Gregory Inc.

On January 6, 1968 he married Dian Hines in Hayward, Wisconsin and they were blessed with two sons. Dave was very civic minded and was a member and past president of the La Crosse Jaycees; a member of the La Crosse Room Tax Commission; the La Crosse Plugs; La Crosse Chamber of Commerce; La Crosse County Republican Party; Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited to name a few. He so enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing golf and watching the Badgers, the Brewers and White Sox, as well as the Packers.

In addition to his wife Dian, he is survived by their two sons; David (Desiree) Gregory II of La Crosse and Daniel Gregory of Denver, CO; two grandchildren, Olyvia of Chicago and Devin of La Crosse; 7 brothers and sisters; Joan Gleason of Mesa, AZ, Tom Gregory of Cave Creek, AZ, Carol (Ted) Skowronek of Scottsdale, AZ, Sue Ann (Tim) O’Brien of Winooski, VT, Richard (Deb) Gregory of Osceola, WI, Peter Gregory and Todd Gregory, both of La Crosse along with many nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; two brothers, Steven and Timothy Gregory and several aunts and uncles.

A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held from 4-7 P.M. Monday, November 20 ^th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Avenue South, La Crosse. A prayer service will begin the gathering starting at 4:00 P.M. Monday with Rev. Brian D. Konopa and Deacon Richard Sage officiating. Private family burial with military honors will be held at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery.
