Daryl S. Faron

The Good Lord called Daryl Stanley Faron home the evening of July 14th, surrounded by loving family.  Preceded in death by parents, Stanley and Mary, Daryl was 68, born May 9, 1953.  Daryl has lived in West Salem, Wisconsin for the past 10 years.

Daryl met the love of his life, Kathy (nee, O'Boyle), in 1972 and their lives were entwined forever.  They were married on October 11, 1975, having lived, loved and held hands for 45 years.  Together, they were devout Catholics and prayed the rosary together often.  Kathy said Daryl was a gentleman to a T, always looking out for her and others first.  Daryl had even insisted on trying to hold the door for Kathy to go first as he needed to use a walker.   He loved to watch the fireworks through her eyes, keeping an eye on her instead of the sky.   His love for her was beyond measure.

They were blessed with three beautiful children, Christine, Matt (Bridgette, nee Laabs), and Jennifer.  The little loves in Daryl's life were granddaughters, Cecilia and Clara Faron, who made him smile while watching them climb trees and hunt frogs.

Kathy and his family were Daryl's priority.  His passion was anything that had to do with getting together with the family.  Wonderful friend of the family, Theresa, joined in the many family campfires, which was Daryl's favorite thing to do.  He had loved hunting and camping through the years.  As long as Kathy and the kids were there, Daryl was content.  Hand in hand.

Daryl gave 27 years of service working as an EMT along with being a volunteer firefighter for the Village of Necedah, WI, where the family resided for 35 years.  He was also the Necedah Village Board President for two years.  He worked at Toro for 39 years in Quality Control, until retirement in 2016.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 17 ^th , at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, 2006 Weston St., La Crosse, with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Rev. Rick Roberts will officiate. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, La Crosse.
