Danny L. Short

Danny L. Short, 72 of La Crosse passed away at his home on Saturday, July 1, 2023. He was born May 23, 1951, in La Crosse to John and Katherine (Johnson) Short and graduated from La Crosse Central High School in 1969. In July of 1971 he joined the United States Army and served until his honorable discharge in May of 1974.

Danny had worked as a welding foreman for the Burlington Northern Railroad for many years until his retirement.

Survivors include his daughter; Kristina (Michael Fuchsel) Short of Houston, MN; his son, Jason (Kimberly) Short of Janesville, WI; two grandchildren, Ashton Fuchsel of Houston, Mn and Jayahr Short of Janesville, WI along with a brother, John (Brenda) Short of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Gary Short and his significant other, Paula Boardman.
