Daniel L. Stoda

Daniel Stoda, age 77, passed away early Friday morning, February 23, 2024. He was born in La Crosse on December 18, 1946. He attended Central High School and after graduation was drafted for the Vietnam War. He was discharged shortly after joining due to a life-threatening illness.

In his 20's he was diagnosed with a mental illness and that became a lifelong battle for him and his family. He called many places home throughout his lifetime. Most recently he had been living at the Tomah VA. He was declining in health and his body just got too tired to carry on.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Stoda and Dorthy (Pfaff) Stoda, brothers Aaron and Brian. He is survived by 2 brothers, David Stoda of La Crescent and Michael Stoda of Pasco, Washington.

He will be laid to rest at the Woodlawn Cemetery. There will be no services.
