Constance "Connie" Colleen Kearns-Rank

Constance “Connie” Colleen Kearns-Rank, 66, of Peterson and previously of Hokah passed away peacefully at her home on June 8th. Connie was born in La Crosse to Charles and LaVonne (Walcker) Kearns on September 11, 1953. She attended Crucifixion school and was a graduate of La Crescent High School in 1971. Connie lived in Hokah with her three kids until she married Charles “Chuck” Rank in 1993 and moved to Money Creek. They separated before his death and she spent many years with her partner Randy Eaton. Connie and Randy lived in Peterson where they became very close with their landlord Willie Bunke who became family to them.
Connie loved cooking and reading cookbooks, fishing, playing cards especially euchre and cribbage, gardening, the Green Bay Packers, football on Sundays at Al’s and all foods. Most of all she loved spending time with her kids and her grand babies. When she was younger, she spent a lot of time traveling with her dad and brothers Mike and Pat. They traveled all over Europe including Ireland, France, Germany and Italy.
Connie will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, contagious laugh, amazing appetizers and famous salsa. She was a hard worker and always thinking of others before herself. She was a beautiful person inside and out.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents Charles and LaVonne, Charles Rank, Randy Eaton, her aunts, uncles and grandparents.
Connie is survived by her son Dylan Kearns (Missy) of La Crescent, daughter Ashley (Josh) Swenson of Houston, daughter Meghan (Brad) Schossow of La Crescent, grandchildren Austin, Julia, Caylin and Jaxon. Her brother Michael (Dawn) Kearns of La Crosse, brother Patrick (Margaret) Kearns of Trempealeau, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will occur on Saturday June 13th at the Money Creek Haven Pavillion from 3 – 6pm, 18502 County 26 Houston, Minnesota. Food and drinks will be provided. Please come and share some memories of Connie.
