Connie E. Arbuckle

Connie E. Arbuckle, 65, of La Crosse, WI, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 23, 2021.

Connie was born in La Crosse to Dennis and Lorraine (Gillitzer) Check on January 2, 1956. Connie graduated from Aquinas High School. She worked in the administration department at Trane for 44 years. When Connie was younger, she played the accordion while her grandfather, Tom, played the harmonica and sang in German.

Connie married Joe Arbuckle on October 11, 2002. They enjoyed traveling and camping together. She liked to cook and share her creations with her friends. She also liked to garden.

Connie is survived by her husband, Joe; mother, Lorraine; brother, Jeff (Cindy); children, Jessie Ray and Nate Ray; grandchildren, Aubrey Waldenberger, Peyton Riley, Henysie Ray, Alyzey Ray; great granddaughter, Azalea; several nieces, aunts, and uncles; and her cat, Spencer.

Connie was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Check; maternal grandparents, Tom and Mamie Gillitzer; paternal grandparents, Albert and Elizabeth Check; and several aunts and uncles.

A private service will be held for family on Saturday, October 23, 2021. There will also be a Celebration of Life for Connie on Saturday, October 23, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at All Star Lanes & Banquets, 4735 Mormon Coulee Rd., La Crosse, WI 54601.

Connie was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be sadly missed by all.
