Charles M. Flint

This is the story of Charles M. Flint. Charlie, 38, of La Crosse, passed away on Monday, January 15 ^th , at his home surrounded by his family, after a brief illness.
Charlie’s story started on August 2nd, 1979 in Owatonna, MN, the oldest son of Dennis and Kathy (Rieber) Flint. A graduate of Owatonna High School in 1997, he furthered his education at UW-La Crosse.

Charlie met the love of his life, Erica (Mueller) while both were employed at Fayze’s. They were united in marriage in Las Vegas on August 1, 2007. Together they started the next chapter. Charlie and Erica welcomed three beautiful daughters to their family, Addison (8), Layla (6), and Scarlett (4). He was immensely proud of his three amazing daughters. These precious girls were most dear to his heart. They will remember him for his hearty laugh and for being the “Best Daddy Ever”!

Loved ones that will miss Charlie are his parents, Dennis and Kathy, his brother, Tom, his wife Jess and their two daughters, Elenore & Rosemary, Grandmothers, Olga Rieber & Delores Flint, In-laws Sharon & Randy Dwyer, Ron Mueller, Marleen Bittner as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Charlie’s profession as a Bartender at Fayze’s and the Bluffside Tavern gave him the opportunity to touch many lives, gather many friends and colorful stories along the way. He had a way of making everyone feel like a friend and could mix a drink like no one else.

Although Charlie relocated to Wisconsin, his heart never left Minnesota. A devoted Minnesota sports fan, who cheered the Vikings on to the Minneapolis Miracle.

Charlie’s life story will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A Celebration of Charlie’s Life story will take place at a later date. If you think of Charlie and would like to do something in honor of his memory, an education fund is being established for his girls.

A heartfelt thank you is extended to the caring and skilled doctors, nurses and EMT’s who cared for Charlie.
