Carrie Jo Hoffman, Age 63 passed away on May 25, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. She was born on April 28, 1959 in La Crosse WI to Gerald and Joan (Carpenter) Guentz and was a 1977 graduate of La Crosse Central High School.
Carrie attended Western Wisconsin Technical College where she became a Certified Central Service Technician. She worked in healthcare her entire life, first at Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse and then at the Parkway Surgery Center in Henderson, Nevada for many years.
On April 15, 1989 she married Allan Hoffman and they shared over 30 years together. They spent many years enjoying the mild winters in Las Vegas before returning to La Crosse to be closer to family. Carrie was a passionate Green Bay Packers fan. Growing up, she spent many summers camping with her family at Casey Lake in Waupaca creating special memories. Her smile was infectious, and she loved to laugh and be with family and friends. She was a great cook and a wonderful hostess, known for her signature party dishes.
In addition to Allan, Carrie is survived by her son Charlie Corcoran of La Crosse; her parents Gerald and Joan (Carpenter) Guentz of La Crescent, MN; two grandchildren: Emma Corcoran and Ivy Bakken; brothers: Jerry Guentz of La Crescent MN, Tim (Joan) Guentz of South Sioux City, Nebraska; Dan Guentz of Dodgeville, WI; and a sister Sue Guentz of La Crescent, MN. Also, stepchildren Scott Hoffman, Dayna (Jason) LaRue of Albert Lea, MN and Jason (Shannon) Hoffman of La Crescent MN. She was Aunt Carrie to Jason, Phil, Sarah, Erick and Mel. She felt fortunate to have special life-long friendships throughout the years. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Kathy Guentz.
A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at the Time Out Tavern in La Crescent, MN on Saturday June 18 th at 2 pm.
