Carole J. Schroeder

Carole J. Schroeder, 83, of Onalaska, WI passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Springbrook Village in La Crescent, MN. She was born on September 26, 1939 in Milwaukee, WI to Lester and Dorothy (Arnold) Bacher. Carole graduated from Milwaukee Lutheran High School in 1957. She also attended Prospect Hall Secretarial School in Milwaukee. On December 2, 1961 she married Ralph Schroeder in Milwaukee. She had worked at Standard Oil Co. as secretary and M&I Bank in Human Resources before retiring. Carole enjoyed gardening, antiquing and traveling.

She is survived by her husband Ralph, a daughter Kristin Schroeder of Milwaukee, WI, three sisters Lynn Schmidt of Cedarburg, WI, Leslie Geiger of Appleton, WI and Laurie (Richard) Krenn of Madison, WI, one brother Kevin Bacher of Tucson, AZ along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Phillip and a brother Joel (Rita) Bacher.

A visitation will be held from 3 – 6 PM on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Schumacher – Kish Funeral & Cremation Services, 907 Sand Lake Road, Onalaska. Burial will be held in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, WI.
