Carol J. Opdahl

Carol J. Opdahl, 85, of La Crosse, died on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse. She was born on May 7, 1932 in La Crosse to Irvin and Beatrice (Olson) Lawrence. She married Edward Opdahl on May 20, 1950 in St. John’s Catholic Church, La Crosse. Carol worked as a waitress at Ardies Restaurant for many years and was a foster-mother to over fifty babies. Carol also loved all animals.

She is survived by her husband Edward, two daughters, Kathleen Pervin and Linda Hackbart, three grandchildren, Angi (Chris) Vail, Jennifer (fiancé Daniel Roop) Pervin, and Ryan Pervin, two great-grandchildren, Cole and Kaden Vail, and two sisters, Darlene Schiffer and Shirley Clark. She was preceded in death by a son Steven, a son-in-law Theodore Pervin, and an infant grandson.
