Carol R. Munk

Carol R. Munk, age 81 of La Crescent, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side, Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Traditions of La Crescent. She was born October 17, 1942 in La Crosse, WI to the late John and Imelda Ormsby and grew up on the family farm in La Crescent.

Carol loved spending time with her family and showed her love through cooking the most amazing holiday meals and special treats for anyone close to her. She spent many hours gardening and sharing her raspberries with friends and family. She did everything with love including sharing her love for books by managing at Waldenbooks for years. She enjoyed going for walks in the hills of La Crescent and will leave an emptiness here until we are able to walk with her again.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Thomas R. Munk; daughters, Deirdre Klotz and Erin (Nick) Benz; grandchildren, Keenan, Megan and Miles Klotz, Connor and Mallory Benz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 7th at Crucifixion Catholic Church in La Crescent, MN. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until the service at the church.
