Carla M. Seiler

Carla M. Seiler, 98, died peacefully on November 18 ^th, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  Born October 21 ^st , 1924, to Oscar and Anna (Stendahl) Peterson of Coon Valley, Wisconsin.  Carla married Robert C. Seiler Sr. on September 1 ^st , 1943, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in La Crosse, WI.

Carla was a loving, devoted mother to 5 children – David P. Seiler, Robert C. Seiler Jr, Steven J. Seiler, Donna L. Cushing, and Paul A. Seiler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and 2 sons, David, and Steven.

Family was the focus of Carla’s life.  She was proud and honored to be the matriarch to her large family.  Carla is fondly remembered by her many children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and many great friends.

In addition to her devotion to her family, Carla enjoyed being in nature listening to the birds sing and being surrounded by flowers.  Her quick wit was often demonstrated, especially during a good card game.  Carla had a lifelong career in professional painting.  She embraced her Norwegian heritage, including spending countless hours in the kitchen baking her favorite recipes.

Carla will be forever remembered for the caring heart, giving nature, beautiful smile, and unconditional love.  Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate her life and find comfort knowing that she is in heaven watching over us.

A private service will be held for the immediate family, and a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
