Bill Woolley died so peacefully on the morning of August 14, 2021. He was such a quiet man but when he spoke, everybody listened. He was so kind, caring and thoughtful.
He will be so truly missed by Barbara Woolley; Haley Hernandez and Ivey; Tracy Salas, Gustavo Salas, Gus and Epifania; Mitch and Jennifer Ratigan, Mitch, Diane, Ben, Jack, Joe and Luke. Niki, Rog, Ryder, Jac and Mark; and Muffin.
Louie Donaldson, Tom and Renee Donaldson, Duffy Pagel; Sue and John; Sandy, Greg, Becki, Jimmy, Cooper, Cam and Brent. Mr. Ball and Pam.
Bill is now with Tim Ratigan, Virgil and Ruth Woolley, John Woolley, Virginia Donaldson, Dick Pagel, Gene and Esther Brown and Tom Brown up in heaven with God. Bill and Tim are probably arguing right now.
Bill worked at Caledonia Public Schools and La Crescent-Hokah Public Schools and called himself a broom pusher, but we know he was so much more. He was a 'fix it man' especially for kids. He would drop everything he was doing if a student asked him for help. His grandkids would say "if Grampa can't fix it, nobody can".
We are so grateful to all the medical staff in the La Crosse area that have helped Bill live a great life. Special thanks to Haley, Tracy, Gustavo, Mitch, Jennifer, Niki, Betsy Brown Theis, Karen Schiltz, Craig Ihrke and the staff and students of Caledonia Elementary School for being there for us. But grandkids remember, his favorite title was Grampa.
Please keep Bill in your hearts.
Services will be planned at a later date. Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services of La Crescent is assisting the family. Online condolences may be left at www.schumacher-kish.com.
