Betty Villmow

Betty Villmow, age 95, died Tuesday, March 26, 2024. She was the daughter of Sam and Lillian (Maurer) Ender. She graduated from Houston High School in 1945 and worked at the La Crosse Footwear for 55 years.

She married Herb Villmow on June 3rd, 1947 at the Hokah United Methodist Church. They had one daughter, Sharon. Betty was a loving and caring person and enjoyed working in her garden and flowers.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979 and her daughter in 1987. Also by her very good friends Bernice Driscoll and Marion Coughlin.

She is survived by very special families—The David Sweeney Family and Cindy and Jerry Welke.

A special Thank You to Cindy and Jerry Welke for the wonderful care and comforting words they gave Betty.

Betty's credo was to always say “Please and Thank You".

Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM—12 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, 111 S. Oak St., La Crescent. A celebration of life service will be held at 12 PM at the funeral home. A burial will follow the service at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Hokah for those who wish to join. A luncheon will be served at the Brownsville Community Center, 104 N. 6th St, Brownsville.

Betty loved bling. In honor of her, we invite you to wear sparkly nail polish or blingy jewelry.

Memorial contributions may be donated to Hokah United Methodist Church, Hokah Fire Department, or Hokah Lions Club.
