Betty Jean Harlos

Betty Jean Harlos (nee Herlitzka), 94 of La Crosse passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Benedictine Living Community in La Crosse. She was born June 14, 1928 in La Crosse to Frank and Ruby (DeWitt) Herlitzka. Betty graduated from La Crosse Central High School, class of 1946.

On December 27, 1947, she married L.I. “Roy” Harlos. Together they raised their family in La Crescent, MN and Tucson, AZ.

Betty is survived by five children; William (Karen) Harlos, Susan Meindel, Paul, Daniel and David Harlos; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Harlos; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her son, John; her parents and a sister, June (Forie) Clappier.

Betty was a faithful follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.

A private family blessing will be held in the near future with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, La Crosse.
