Benjamin V. "Benny" Pippin

Benjamin V. “Benny” Pippin, 93, of French Island, La Crosse, died on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Hillview Healthcare Center. He was born in Richland Center, WI., on August 16, 1928 to Vere and Esther (Collins) Pippin.

Benny grew up in Blue River, WI., and later moved to La Crosse where he raised his family on French Island. He worked at Trane Co. for 35 years. Throughout his life he enjoyed fishing, gardening, working in his yard and riding on his John Deere. He also enjoyed watching sports on TV and cookouts with his family. He will be fondly remembered as a very patient, kind and genuine soul. He was a fair and honest man and a wonderful husband and father. He is already missed by many. The good don’t always die young- Fly high and rest in peace.

Benny is survived by his children, Peggy Ristow, Patsy Pippin, Pam Clark, Kevin (Kathy) Burke, Mary Jo (Lance) Rickaway, Kelley (Dave) Johnson, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The family would also like to thank their special friend and neighbor Greg Arroyo and Hillview Healthcare Center.

In addition to his wife Muriel, he was preceded in death by one sister Marge Georgeson , one brother George Pippin and two sons in law Mike Ristow and Chris Clark.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crosse chapel; 200 West Ave. So. Pastor Scott Skogen will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Woodlawn Cemetery, La Crosse. Friends may call on the family Saturday morning at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until the time of services. A Luncheon will take place following the entombment with details available on Saturday at the funeral home.
