Audrey Jean Paul

June 4, 1939 — May 6, 2019

Audrey Jean Paul, 79, of Onalaska, was born to eternal life on May 6, 2019. She was born to Harold and Dorothy (Wendt) Boldt on June 4, 1939. Her formal education began at Muckey Elementary School in Muskego, WI and she graduated from Rochester Agriculture High School in 1957 where she took many home economic classes and was a cheerleader for the football and basketball teams. Her mom, Dorothy was suffering from breast cancer and her dad, Harold was suffering from leukemia so she had to become an early homemaker by taking care of her baby sister Bonnie in 1950. Harold passed away at the age of 45 in 1958 and just prior to his passing Audrey met the love of her life, Jerry Paul, who will miss her dearly. They were married on September 27, 1958 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Tess Corners, WI. They enjoyed 60 years of wedded bliss together.

Audrey’s desires in life were to have a good family, serve her Lord Jesus Christ and be a servant to the people that she met. She baked pies for new neighbors, made meals for people in need and visited the shut-ins. She sang in the church choir, was on various boards, the evangelism team and also served the church in too many ways to even count.

Audrey was very active in the Christian Women’s Club as their chairman and various other positions for many years. She lived out her confirmation verse every day, “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all things will be added onto you,” Matthew 6:33.

Audrey fought a valiant battle with Lewy Body Dementia for seven years which not only affected her mind but also her body as the type of dementia she had attacks the body as Parkinson’s Disease does. She fought the good fight of faith and has finished her race. Her family is certain she is walking the streets of gold with Jesus. She is now safely in her Savior’s arms and they look forward to their reunion with her in heaven.

Audrey is survived by her husband, Jerry; daughters, Susan (Gary) Bergman of Holmen, WI and their children; Thomas, Jonathan and Adam, Lynn (Mark) Jackman of Chaska, MN and Ethan; Julie (Jim) Devins of Victoria, MN and their children; Jarod, Delaney and Eli; Jodie (Mary) Paul of Plymouth, MN; sister, Bonnie (Rich) Calderon of Waukesha, WI and her brother, Jerry Boldt of Muskego, WI.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Dorothy Boldt and her brother Jim Boldt.
