Audrey J. Hanson

Audrey J. (Solberg) Hanson, 89 of La Crosse, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. She was born December 28, 1934, in La Crosse to William and Esther (Larson) Solberg.

On October 9, 1965, she married Donald Hanson at First Ev. Lutheran Church in La Crosse and he preceded her in death on February 5, 2000. Audrey had worked as a switchboard operator for La Crosse Rubber Mills and a telephone operator for La Crosse Telephone Company. She had also operated a day care out of her home. She was a lifetime member of First Ev. Lutheran Church in La Crosse.

Audrey is survived by two sons, Donald “Fred” (Kathy Pinson-Hanson) of Mesa, AZ and Jeffrey of Onalaska; a step-grandson, Ryan Pinson (Mandi Pomplun) of Monroe, WI; a sister, Lois “Dickie” Ringdahl of La Crosse; two sisters-in-law, Winnie Solberg and Sharon Helke, along with several nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her husband Don, she was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Rodney Solberg; three brothers-in-law, Gordon Helke, Donald “Curly” Ringdahl, and Alan Sila, along with a sister-in-law, Myra Sila.
