Arvard G. "Obbie" Nichols

Arvard G. ‘Obbie’ Nichols, 84, of La Crosse, WI passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at La Crescent Health Services in La Crescent, MN. He was born on April 15, 1938 in St. Charles, MN to Marvin and Leona (Rinn) Nichols. He married Beryl Kinstler on May 11, 1957 in La Crosse. Obbie worked at Trane Co. for 43 years. He loved hunting and fishing, especially his annual Salmon fishing trip to Sheboygan.

He is survived by his wife, Beryl of La Crosse, a daughter Carrie Carlson of West Salem, three grandchildren Amber (Joe) Erickson of La Crosse, Andrew Nichols of La Crosse and Michael Carlson of West Salem, four great grandchildren Lincoln Erickson, Channing Erickson, Lily Nichols and Emma Nichols, daughter-in-law Katherine Nichols. He was preceded in death by a son Blakely Nichols, five brothers Lavern Nichols, Beauford Nichols, Ronald Nichols, Kenneth Nichols and Harold Nichols.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 1 – 3 PM at the Schumacher – Kish Funeral & Cremation Services, 200 West Ave. S., La Crosse. Burial will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery in La Crosse.
