Arlene M. Moore

Arlene Marion Moore, 82, of La Crescent, MN died peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Brookdale La Crosse – Memory Care. She was born on November 5, 1935 in Pleasant Hill Township, Winona County, MN to Donald and Eleanora (Witt) Frappier. On March 17, 1956 she married Tom Moore. Arlene had been a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 595 since 1954. She was a loyal Packers fan. Arlene started her college education the same year her youngest child, Christopher, started kindergarten. She graduated from Viterbo University on May 17, 1981.

Arlene is survived by her children – Mary Liebsch of La Crescent, MN, Susan (Nels) Anderson of La Crescent, MN, John (Joan) Moore of Cannon Falls, MN, Nancy (Michael) Nesky of Tempe, AZ, Paul (Julie) Moore of Holmen, WI, Dan (Heather) Moore of West Bend, WI and Christopher (Kathy) Moore of Clear Lake, IA. She leaves behind 21 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Arlene is also survived by her sisters Mary (Bob) Verdick and Karen (Craig) Banasik, her brothers Dennis, Rick and Jim Frappier, sisters-in-law Joanne Moore, Carol Moore and Katy (Bob) Langen. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, a sister, her ex-husband and a son-in-law. Arlene’s youngest daughter, Jennifer, died in September of 2017.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Crucifixion Catholic Church, La Crescent, MN. Rev. Gregory Havel will officiate. Burial will follow in Crucifixion Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of service. A Rosary will be recited at 8:45 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to American Legion Auxiliary Post 595 or Crucifixion Catholic School.
