Angeline M. Becker

Angeline M. Becker, 102, formerly of La Crosse, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at the Morrow Nursing Home in Sparta, WI. She was born on May 28, 1920 in Cashton, WI to Peter and Mary (Ammun) Miller. She married Raymond N. Becker on June 29, 1942, they were married for 37 years before his death in 1979. Angeline enjoyed playing cards, travelling, and babysitting her grandkids. She worked as a waitress at Schmidty’s for a number of years and then worked for a caterer for 14 years.

She is survived by seven children, Ron Becker, Judy Becker, Jerry (Karen) Becker, Mike (Sue) Becker, Rita (Dirk) Gasterland, Patty (Bruce) Stuempges, and Lynn (David) Selness, 17 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, a brother Levi (Norma) Miller, a sister Darlene (Gerald) Kneifl, a sister-in-law Pat Miller, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, sisters, Margaret Zebell, Ann Becker and Betty Hericks, brothers Norbert, Leonard, and Clarence, a daughter-in-law Ethel, and a grandson Scott.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Father Sam McCarty will officiate. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Memorials can be given to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Parish.

The family would like to thank the Morrow Home staff and Gundersen Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Angeline during her stay at the nursing home.
