Andrew (Drew) Howard Beckstrom, 34, of Holmen, WI died unexpectedly as the result of a car accident on Saturday, October 5th, 2024.
He was born in Lancaster, WI on March 24th, 1990, to his parents Clayton Beckstrom and Sarah (Froiseth) Ondeck. He attended both West Salem and GET High Schools where he ran track and cross country, qualifying for state in both sports.
Drew met the love of his life, Jill Manske, in 2013 and they were married on June 16th, 2018. They settled in Holmen, WI and welcomed their first son, Mason, in September 2019. Tragedy struck their family in August 2022 when their second son, Levi, passed away at just 16-days-old due to a virus. They are expecting their third son at the end of next month.
Drew touched the lives of many people through his job at La Crosse Beverage and had recently started a new job at Kenrich Foods. He loved hunting, fishing, the Packers, and laughing with his friends. He was a jokester and a prankster, known for his love of ketchup and quoting movies, as well as despising anything fuzzy. He was thoughtful and kind, always thinking about how he could help others, especially friends going through hard times. Drew was the friend that would drop everything to talk or help you out in a heartbeat.
He was a proud uncle who loved to brag about his niece Eve and had just become a godfather to his new nephew Brexton. Drew’s greatest pride came from being a dad. He and Mason had recently gone on their first outing with Mason’s birthday present, a Red Ryder BB gun. They were two peas in a pod and had only just begun their adventures together.
Andrew is survived by his loving wife Jill, their 5-year-old son Mason, and baby boy Beckstrom, who is expected in November; sister Alena Froiseth and niece Eve Froiseth of West Salem, WI; brother CJ Beckstrom of Madison, WI; mother Sarah Ondeck (Roger Ondeck) of West Salem, WI; grandmother Blanche Froiseth of Readstown, WI; close cousin Jared Kjos (Courtney) of Fennimore, WI; stepbrother Anthony Ondeck of La Crosse, WI; stepsister Jonie Gerasinovich, and her children Sabrina and Colin Buggy of Middletown, PA; father and mother-in-law David and Katherine Manske of Chaseburg, WI; sister-in-law Dawn Manske of Minnetonka, MN; sister-in-law Darcy Manske (Mike Jones) and nephew Brexton Jones of Harper’s Ferry, IA; along with many uncles, aunts, cousins, and many, many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his son Levi, his beloved dog Duke, his father Clayton Beckstrom, his grandpa Arvid Froiseth, and his grandparents Howard and Janet Beckstrom.
Jill and Drew’s families would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support since they received this devastating news. Drew was loved by many, and his memory will live on through those people and the stories that will be shared with his children in the future.
