Andrew "Andy" B. Mcculloch

Andrew B. “Andy” McCulloch, 70, of La Crescent, died on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. He was born on April 18, 1947 in Akron, OH to Hugh and Constance (Meisner) McCulloch. Andy spent his childhood in Evanston, IL and graduated from Beloit College. After graduation he made his way to La Crescent to start a business venture with his good friend Cliff. He served with the US Army, and was a member of the Gittens-Leidel American Legion Post 595 in La Crescent. Andy was CEO of Andy’s Sportsman’s Bar in La Crescent which he operated for 33 years. He married Kathy Justin on November 25, 2009 He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, golfing, and playing cards with the Water Buffalos. Andy enjoyed hosting gatherings with family and friends, and loved spending time with the grandkids.

Andy is survived by his wife Kathy and her sons Jacob Englin and Justin (Molly) Englin, four grandkids, Aurora, Jude, Johnny and Nellie, a sister Cathy (Paul) Berslin, a brother Tom (Jane) McCulloch, and two nieces and one nephew, and many sisters and brothers-in-law from his wife’s side. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Stewart, and his mother and father-in-law, Patricia and Robert Justin.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crescent, 111 So. Oak Street, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. Military Honors will take place at 4:00 PM. The family then asks everyone to join them for one last toast to Andy at The Sports Hub (Andy’s).

Special thanks to everyone at Gundersen System, especially Dr. Kabbani, Brian and Tyler (Rhett), for all your love and support. Andy was generous right up to the end, and helped others by being an organ donor.
