Alvin R. Jordan

February 16, 1928 — May 5, 2018

Alvin R. Jordan, 90, entered eternity on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Onalaska Care Center. He was born on February 16, 1928 in Milwaukee to Arthur and Clara (Tetting) Jordan. Alvin served with the US Marine Corps for two years. He married Ruth Brandt on May 19, 1951 in Milwaukee. Alvin had worked for many years as a Zone Service Manager with Mercedes Benz in Houston, TX, retiring in 1988.
He is survived by his wife Ruth of Onalaska, a daughter Brenda of Onalaska, a granddaughter Brandy (Scott) Clarke of Richmond, TX, two great-grandsons, Jonathan and Matthew, a brother Robert of Stevens Point, WI, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Randolph and Richard, and a granddaughter Jody.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Mark’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Onalaska. Pastor Robert Dommer will officiate. Burial will follow in the Onalaska City Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Mark’s Ev. Lutheran Church or Wisconsin Right to Life.
