Allen L. Lee, age 84 of La Crosse, Wisconsin passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was born May 2, 1939, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to the late Leonard H. and Evelyne S. (Peterson) Lee.

As a child, Allen enjoyed his summers on his grandparents’ (Peterson) farm in Bloomer, Wisconsin. He is a veteran of the Marines and spent his career working as a Cost Analyst at Dairyland Power. He was an avid golfer and hunter; sharing those sports with his close friends well into his later years. Allen was also passionate about skiing; he enjoyed racing in his earlier years and for decades served on the Ski Patrol at Mt. La Crosse. He was known as the computer guy, helping family, neighbors, and friends with any computer problem; and a master of transitioning every conversation topic back to computers.

Allen was previously married to Ruth Ann (Johnson) Leuck of Onalaska, WI, and later married the late Sandra J. Schuster-Lee in Kauai, Hawaii on December 26, 1987.

He is survived by his daughters, Gina (Gary) Haefer of Evansville, WI; Stephenie (Derek) Kelly of Greenbrae, CA; Michelle (Eric Goodwin) Lee of Hoover, AL; along with 8 grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Zachary, and Brittany Haefer; and Laura (Alfonso) Carrillo, John Kelly, Olivia (Connor Murray) Kelly and Marshall Kelly. Allen is additionally blessed with 2 great-grandchildren, Isael and Aurora Carrillo.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sandy in 2001; parents; grandparents, James A. and Amanda A. (Callum) Peterson; Seth H. and Anna (Larson) Lee; uncles, Glenn C. Lee, Sr, Howard I. Lee, Stanley Lee, Harold J. Peterson, Stanley “Bud” Peterson, and James F. Peterson; aunts, Myrtle L. Button, Violet Rumphol, Clara M. (Reali) Bell, Mildred L. (Dressel) Crogg, and Idena V. Wood.

No services will be held at this time. Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services is handling the arrangements. His daughters and close family will be laying Allen and Sandy to rest together at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire, WI, at a later date.
