Albert “Ray” Lubben, 85 of La Crosse passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 17, 2017. He was born August 28, 1931 in Chicago, IL to Albert and Leona Grace (Frame) Lubben.
Albert served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a telephone man by trade.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie (Woods) Lubben; three daughters by a previous marriage; Debi (Tom) Monroe of West Jordan, UT, Sherry (Steve) Johnson of Sarasota, FL and Dawn (Jon) Skrepak of Estherville, IA. Albert married Marjorie on his 34 th birthday and together they had three sons and a daughter. Albert is further survived by two sons and a daughter; Matthew Lubben of La Crosse, Adam (Deb) Lubben of Rice Lake, WI and Kristina (Ben) Bungartz of Chetek, WI; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law, Jean Lee and Jean Woods both of La Crosse and Judy Woods of Atwater, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Daniel Lubben and Aaron (twin of Adam) Lubben; two brothers; three sisters; ten brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law.
Burial with military honors will be held at Noon on Thursday, June 22nd at Woodlawn Cemetery in La Crosse. A Memorial Gathering will follow from 1-3 P.M. Thursday at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Avenue South, La Crosse.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
