Beata M. Hollnagel

Beata M. Hollnagel, 92 of La Crosse , died on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Bethany-Riverside Nursing Facility . She was born March 7, 1925 in La Crosse to William and Bertha (Larhke) Bruhnke and graduated from Central High School in 1943. On January 4, 1969, she married Donald “Hobbs” Hollnagel and he preceded her in death on September 18, 2011,

Bea was an accomplished seamstress who had worked for the La Crosse Rubber Mills for many years until her retirement in 1987. She took great joy in sewing, crocheting, and hand painting dish towels. Bea loved her pet canaries and her beloved Lexi. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.

Bea is survived by three daughters; Hollis (Kenneth) White of Holmen, Beverly Lish of Arcadia and Cathleen Lish of Denver, CO; seven grandchildren including her special caregiver, Tracey Albrecht; several great and great- great- grandchildren whom she loved dearly; a brother, Eugene (Pauline) Bruhnke of Madison, WI and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Rebecca Beata and Mary Ann; two brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5 ^th at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services, 200 West Avenue South La Crosse with Rev. Richard Pamperin officiating. Burial will follow in Mormon Coulee Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services.
