Keith B. Darneal

Keith B. Darneal, 70 of Onalaska, died on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. He was born May 23, 1946 in La Crosse and graduated from Central High School. On June 26, 1965, he married Iris M. Saley in La Crosse. Keith had served in the United States Naval Reserve.

Keith had worked for many years as a semi driver for Skokie Valley Beverage and achieved three million accident free miles under the CB handle “Silver Spur.” He then worked as the assistant superintendent at the La Crosse Country Club until his retirement. Keith enjoyed deer hunting and musky fishing.

In addition to his wife Iris; he is survived by a daughter, Kim (Todd) Smith of Onalaska; two grandchildren, Amber (fiancé, Ryan Rodenberg) Smith and Rebecca (fiancé, Cody Pedlar) Smith; great-granddaughter, Eleanora Rodenberg; two sisters, Roseanne (Jack) Russell of Florida and Sue (Ed) Wanta of Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Lynn Darneal of La Crosse. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ken Darneal.

Private family services with military honors will be held.
