Thomas E. Gillette

Thomas E. Gillette, 81 of La Crescent, Minn., died on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Gundersen Health System of La Crosse. He was born in La Crosse on April 8, 1935 to Bill and Margaret (Shotski) Gillette. Tom had proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. On October 29, 1960 he married Bonnie Baker who preceded him in death on April 22, 2015. Tom had worked for the La Crescent Post Office for 30 years.

He is survived by three sons; Jeff (Tammy) Gillette and their children Cole and Cory; Jay (Tracy) Gillette and their children Craig and Jaymee; Jim (Carmela) Gillette and Jim’s daughter Rebecca Humfeld and two great grandchildren Dayton and Ayllisa.   In addition to his wife Bonnie he was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Betty Jean.

A memorial gathering for friends and family will be held on Sunday, March 19 ^th from 4 until 6 pm at the Schumacher-Kish Funeral and Cremation Services La Crescent chapel; 111 South Oak St. Memorials may be directed to the La Crescent Animal Rescue program.
